Nightwalks with teenagers - Aarhus Edition

Short & sweet

Come and join us to dance, laugh, run, walk, and parkour your way through Aarhus as the young people of the city take you on a very special walk. Discover the streets and paths that are unique to them and experience the power of walking together – both teenagers and adults – sharing the things we don’t usually share. We will start at Skt. Knuds Torv.

Still curious?

Nightwalks with teenagers is a walking performance created in collaboration with young people from the city, who plan, design and lead public walks through the city at night, sharing their favourite parts of the neighbourhood with members of the community.

The performance brings together "teens and adults" who might not otherwise meet, to have experiences related to a shared place and time; it offers an opportunity for adults to socialize with young people in a safe social space, where everyone can let loose, and silences offer moments for contemplation.

"It’s an intentional contradiction: a show for adults, conceived and led by local teenagers. A journey on foot through a city at night. An exploratory social art experiment, in which the youth let us experience the streets through their eyes¨

The Guardian

"One of the most captivating projects that it made me recall my teenage days with such fondness that it bursts out of my chest¨
